The Industrial India Trade Fair a mega show, the largest one of its kind in Eastern & North eastern India projects the Industrial progress of the region and other states encompassing various sectors.

Kolkata, apart from being the nerve centre of the Eastern India, also happens to be a natural gateway to Southeast Asia and to some of the SAARC countries in the region namely Bangladesh, Nepal & Bhutan. This renders lot of supply of opportunities for Indian entrepreneurs into these markets.

Countries like Vietnam, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Thailand, China, Japan, Mayanmar and Iran. Several Government of India enterprises representing the core sectors of steel, coal, petroleum, telecommunications and finance besides various State Governments. The different departments of Government of West Bengal specially in the areas of industry and infrastructure will showcase in the West Bengal pavilion.

The 21st Industrial India Trade Fair will be held for the 21st consecutive year during January 17 to 27, 2008 in the Milan Mela Complex, opposite Science City, Kolkata.

  • Largest ever participation by 800 units from private & public sector .
  • Rs. 734 million worth of orders were booked.
  • Business enquiries generated to a record level of Rs. 1307 million.
  • Around 800 thousand visitors including business persons and entrepreneurs visited the Fair.
  • Foreign participation by countries namely Vietnam, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Thailand, China, Japan, Mayanmar and Iran.
